Our first group of Hot Dog and Heroe nominees were inducted in 2020. Following in their pace-setting footsteps have been additional nominees who have drawn together various resources and support to make the following impact and achievements possible:

  • Since its inception in 2012That's My Child has reached over 35,000 students through outreach programs in both traditional and private schools and through direct community involvement.
  • The organization has served 2,134 students directly on campus, offering a comprehensive curriculum that empowers students academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • 984 high school seniors have graduated with the support of the program.
  • Of those graduates, 594 students pursued higher education at colleges or trade schools.
  • 312 students joined the U.S. military, while others entered the workforce directly, armed with the skills they developed.
  • Through the Teens-to-Work program, 1,027 students participated in an initiative designed to foster workforce skills through real-world experience.
  • The program also operates a teenager-managed restaurant called That’s My Dog Junior, where students learn to work, manage, and operate a business.
  • The program has a remarkable success rate: 75% of students employed through Teens-to-Work have maintained employment for over six months, demonstrating the lasting impact on their lives.

We continue to celebrate these wonderful community heroes while giving scholarships to students heading off to college!
